Hello, I'm Sabrina Berry

I'm running for NC House District 82 to make a positive difference in District 82 and our state. Sixty-one years after Dr. King shared his iconic dream in 1963, we have made progress but still have work to do to fulfill his vision of universal equality and justice for all.

It's time to elect a House representative who will bring a different perspective and innovative ideas to our state government. It's time to elect a fearless leader who will show up and speak up, and work for universal equality for all people. I'm running to bring this type of leadership to District 82. Economy

We must make the training and employment opportunities that make possible earning a living wage accessible to all people .

Education

The NC Constitution requires "a general and uniform system of free public schools... wherein equal opportunities shall be provided for all students." Our state isn't fulfilling this mandate. We must change our system to ensure we do.

Family Justice

Families (and the individuals in them) deserve the opportunity to become the best version of themselves they can possibly be. Family justice is manifest when families have opportunities to maximize their health and happiness across the life span.

Housing

Access to safe and affordable housing is a fundamental right. We must remove barriers that keep the most vulnerable among us from securing it.

Medicaid Expansion

Access to affordable healthcare is essential for North Carolinians and for a healthy workforce to grow our economy and quality of life. Medicaid expansion is a major part of this. My opponent plans to cut Medicaid expansion.

Mental Health

There is a crisis of Mental Health in NC as well as our nation. Access to care is often hindered by insurance, lack of personal funds, lack of transportation, to name a few. We must break down these barriers for all people.
